Your wedding day will always be special and memorable for so many reasons, and one important element is your wedding flowers. At Pick of the Bunch, our wedding florist designs and creates a stylish combination of beautiful blooms, from your wedding party’s bouquets and buttonholes, right down to rose petals for the flower girl to sprinkle down the aisle.

One of my distinctive differences as a wedding florist, is my personal service. Your wedding flowers are hand crafted as customised floral designs to suit your colour theme and setting. I work with you to turn your vision into reality, to reflect and compliment your wedding style, whether it be vintage, coastal, rustic, formal or traditional.

Your Wedding Flowers

If you have specific flowers and bouquet styles in mind, I can design your gorgeous bouquets to complete your floral vision of the day, adding impact to the overall beauty of the bridal party. If you only have colours worked out, but not sure of design, I listen to your needs and use my experience as a wedding florist to offer suggestions and advice on what flowers would be best for your wedding theme and style.

Bouquet styles can be hand tied posies of seasonal flowers, or the unstructured, garden picked style for that modern designer look. Your wedding dress design and bridesmaids’ dresses will influence the style and form of the bouquets. Buttonholes for the men complete the look for the bridal party, using hero flowers to match the bouquets. All wedding flowers include carefully chosen foliage and botanicals to blend into your designs.

Other floral accessories to consider for parents, grandparents and family include wrist corsages for the ladies, flower crowns or pomander balls for flower girls, and buttonholes for the men. I offer a range of ceremony flowers to complete the venue styling, such as pew/chair ends, signing table flowers, and floral arbour designs to enhance the visual beauty of the space. Reception flowers continue the theme with bridal table arrangements, table centrepieces, and cake flowers to add colourful floral styling to the room.

Depending on your theme, fresh flower types chosen for your wedding range from soft and romantic ornamentals, such as roses and lisianthus, through to natives and tropicals. Foliage, ferns, vines, berries add highlighters add interest and style to your crafted wedding bouquets and designs. Dried and preserved flowers are available also.

How to Organise Your Wedding Flowers

When you make your initial enquiry, I will need you to send some basic information, eg. Wedding date and time, number in bridal party, venue of ceremony, venue of reception, address for delivery of flowers, your wedding theme, and any photos of dresses and bouquets/styles/colours from social media.

When I have your information, I send you my wedding flower documents of Checklist and Price guide for you to complete and return, and my Service Agreement with terms and conditions.

Then we arrange a time for your complimentary consultation. Here we discuss your wedding flowers, colours, style and theme. I use my professional knowledge to guide you through the choices and designs that will create the mood and style of your uniquely crafted bouquets and wedding flowers. When the vision is complete, I will send your written quote within 48 hours of our consultation, which is valid for 6 weeks.

Ideally, I will need to book and secure your wedding date at least 3-12 months prior to the wedding. Once your deposit is paid, I lock in that date for you. I can pre-book a wedding date up to 24 months in advance. With the impact of Covid-19 on wedding bookings, I am able to book your wedding date in advance for 2021 and 2022.

To pre-order your wedding flowers I require 6 weeks’ notice to allow my suppliers to special order pick and deliver your beautiful blooms. Covid has affected the supply of local and imported flowers, so it is important to start organizing your flowers as early as possible. Wedding flowers are carefully chosen and handled with care, to ensure fresh delivery in top condition. If your chosen flowers are unavailable for any reason, I use my expertise to choose a suitable substitute. Occasionally, growers experience extreme weather conditions which can affect supply, but this is not usually the case.

On your wedding day, I personally deliver to your residence, hotel or resort in and around Brisbane, including Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and hinterlands. I take great care in conditioning and transporting your flowers to the chosen destination. This will incur a delivery fee, but if you prefer, a family member or guest can collect your flowers from my studio.

I look forward to hearing from and playing a part in your special wedding day.
